12 noon - The Winter Farm Tour will start with a free BBQ lunch at the Pararadise Hall, catered by the Paradise Hall committee.

1.15 pm – Travel to “Cresswell” Beazleys Bridge. 5742 Ararat-St Arnaud Rd

1.30 pm – Introduction to Cresswell and presentation on 'Slugs, bugs & Red Legged Earth Mite'.  Cresswell' is owned and managed by Melainie and Rhonda Fernandes.  Here we will be looking at the use of specialist legume pastures on the Avon River plain.  

James Maino; PPS member & Cesar Australia will provide practical information on pest & beneficial insect identification and RLEM management.

The presentation is part of a joint MLA PDS project.

2.45 pm - Travel to “Silver Gully” Winjallok, 202 Barkly Gap Rd via first paddock stop on Winjallok Rd.

3.00 pm - 'Silver Gully' is owned and managed by Travis & Lynette Fernandes.  Here the focus will be on their lambs systems;

Grazing cereals, fescue, phalaris in low rainfall region  of the Winjallok Valley.
