About the event
Jess Revell is the principal nutritionist and animal production consultant with Rumenate Livestock Services. Jess has been involved in livestock nutrition and animal production for over 12 years.
From a farming background and graduating with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science with honours in animal nutrition from the University of Tasmania, Jess began her career as a dairy adviser for the Department of Primary Industries in Tasmania, before moving to Southern Australia to work as a ruminant nutritionist in the stockfeed industry and as an animal production consultant. Jess has extensive experience in providing livestock advice to the ruminant sector in; ration formulation, intensive animal nutrition, extensive animal production, reducing metabolic disease and seasonal management.
Jess was a presenter at the PPS Annual Conference and will elaborate on the decline of feed value (even after a wet spring) in summer and will use results from the PPS MLA PDS feed quality project to help plan summer feed strategies for livestock.
